So you’re married and now deciding where to go? So many countries to visit, so many things to see, so how do you choose?

If you want peace and tranquility, top recommendations have come from the small islands like Mauritius or the Maldives. If you want hustle and bustle and plenty of activities, New York comes top of that list along with several UK destinations too!

It has become a lot more common to have familymoons over leaving the kids at home over the last couple of years aswell. Top recommendation, you guessed it, the beautiful Spain! Lots of the Spanish islands have been high favourites for many Brits and it seems the tradition is still going strong.

Here are the top 5 of the most popular places to visit for any type of break away after getting married :-

  1. Spain

  2. Maldives

  3. Mauritius

  4. Thailand

  5. Florida

Tips to remember....

  • You can change your passport name early so it’s in your married name before you travel. You just need to fill in a form and send to the passport office.

  • Wear something which may indicate you are on your honeymoon for the possibility of a free upgrade or some cute perks on your flight.

  • Remember the rule; if you don’t ask, you don’t get. When you book something, let them know it’s your honeymoon. You may get another upgrade on your room or maybe even a bottle of celebratory champers!
